Michael at WaterWired has an absorbing blog post today about a scheme to dam the southern half of James Bay and pump the water into the Great Lakes for distribution to the USA and Canadian provinces. I guess for this scheme you could think of the Great Lakes as a big distribution storage tank.Michael has posted some fascinating slides, but this one was a bit provocative for us which shows a potential pathway for Canadian water to the Southeast.
Although this scheme does not have a chance, I am sucker for large complex engineering challenges presented by this project.Since this is a Saturday post, we need a bit of weekend humor, eh? If anyone needs a geography lesson about our new water savior in the North, Bob and Doug Mckenzie provide a valuable lesson.

I'd forgotten about those hosers, the McKenzie Brothers - I added them to the post. I think the scheme is from McKenzie Brothers Engineering, Ltd., Flin Flon, Manitoba.
