How Many Water Efficient items were Sold at Home Depot Last Year?

Home Depot has rolled out their own label called Eco Options. The company has asked suppliers to produce Eco Option goods at the same prices as conventional merchandise. Apparently, suppliers that qualify for the Eco Options label will be rewarded with prominent shelf space and aggressive marketing through weekly newspaper inserts.

They actually have a water conservation section online with their Eco Options, although they only listed two low flow toilets. Check it out. One of their facts on their web site says they have sold 188,107 water efficient items in 2006 which includes low flow toilets.

This means based on roughly 2,000 total stores they sold 94 water efficient items per store in 2006. Break this down a little further, Home Depot on average sold 2 water efficient items per week at each store in 2006.

I think there is no where to go but up.
